Motorcycle Pillion Riding Course

Riding a motorcycle with a pillion (passenger) can be a daunting prospect, but in truth, it really should not be. It only takes a few small changes to your riding style and bike set-up to make it a pleasurable experience for both rider and passenger. This course is aimed to establish the baseline for pillion riding whereby the rider and passenger are taught correct body positions, mounting and dismounting, slow speed traffic riding and emergencies. The following are covered during this half day course.

  • Smart Rider Principles
  • Phases of Alertness
  • Motorcycle Capacity & Type
  • Legal Requirements to carry a pillion
  • Riding gear
  • Mounting and Dismounting
  • Riding through corners / leaning
