BASIC DRIVER TRAINING

We provide training from Learner’s Licence to Driver’s Licence for code A, B, EB, C1, EC1, C and EC. If a training requirement exists for heavy vehicles, we provide the training, permitted that the client provides the suitable vehicle.

INDUCTION TRAINING

This course is designed to ensure the safe and professional operation of motor vehicles and to upskill drivers with a valid driver’s licence. The training focuses on the specific vehicle(s) and conditions in which your driver will need to operate this vehicle in accordance with legal, safety, manufacturer and other requirements. You will demonstrate attitudes related to road users to reduce driving risks and maintain safety on the roads. The individual must ensure the safe and professional operation of vehicles with a mass exceeding 3.5 tons. Drivers learn to drive safely and defensively and contribute significantly to the economy by transporting goods and passengers.

Demonstrate attitudes related to drivers to reduce driving risks and maintain safety on the roads.
Demonstrate techniques to improve driving skills and apply the system of vehicle control.
Drive a vehicle following the system of vehicle control requirements with specific reference to the applicable K53 tests.
Prepare a motor vehicle for road transport trips according to specified requirements.
Ensure the maintenance of road transport service quality.
Handle unexpected situations with specific procedures.
Vehicle performance and operation thereof.
Parking a vehicle.

DRIVER REFRESHER COURSES

This course ensures that drivers are up to date with the changes in the Road Act. It includes a re-evaluation of driving skills. We counsel drivers who tend to disregard the rules of the road or neglect company policies. You will demonstrate attitudes related to road users to reduce driving risks and maintain safety on the roads, defensive driving, demonstrate techniques and procedures to improve driving skills.

Techniques to improve driving skills and apply the system of vehicle control.
Drive a vehicle by the system of vehicle control requirements with reference to the applicable K53 tests.
Safe driving practice: all road signs, markings/signals, legal requirements, positive attitude.
Compliance with National Road Traffic Act No 93 of 1996.
Prepare vehicle for road transport trips according to specified requirements.
Ensure the maintenance of road transport service quality.
Handle unexpected situations according to specified procedures.

COMPREHENSIVE 4X4 TRAINING

This course covers a broad spectrum of competencies on all types of 4WD vehicles – from basics to recovery, on-road and off-road driving techniques. These methods include driving on rocky or muddy terrain, crossing rivers, navigating through soft river sand and more, perform vehicle preparation, understand preventative maintenance and handle recovery situations and equipment, in an environmentally considerate manner.

Identify the range of features, vehicle options and capabilities of a 4WD vehicle.
Demonstrate passenger and vehicle safety precautions.
Demonstrate an understanding of the preparation of a vehicle for off-road conditions.
Demonstrate an understanding of the various chassis and suspension configurations.
Demonstrate basic recovery techniques.
Demonstrate an understanding and application of techniques related to specific obstacles and various terrains.
Operate a 4WD vehicle in off-road conditions.

ADVANCED DEFENSIVE DRIVER TRAINING

This course teaches drivers to apply advanced defensive driving skills. It includes collision avoidance techniques and anti-hijacking training.

OPERATE A VEHICLE COMBINATION

This course teaches the safe, professional operation of vehicle combinations with a mass exceeding 3.5 tons. You learn to drive a specific vehicle combination aligned with legal, safety, manufacturer and other requirements. Reflect on how a vehicle is operated.
