Course Outline

Meet the needs of incidents of any kind or size.
Be usable for routine events or complex emergency incidents.
Allow personnel from a variety of agencies to meld rapidly into a conventional management structure.
Provide logistical and administrative support to ensure that operational staff can meet incident objectives
Be cost effective by avoiding duplication efforts.

Once completed the individual should be able to:

  • Describe how the ICS (NIMS) Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents.
  • Describe the incident/event management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed by ICS.
  • Implement the incident management process on a simulated expanding incident.
  • Develop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.
