Individuals involved in conservation guardianship will be able to carry out routine security patrols in order to deter, detect and combat illegal activities within an area of responsibility.

Prerequisites
It is assumed that a learner entering this qualification will be competent in (*these courses can, however, be taken concurrently with the anti-poaching course if no prior learning is in place):
- First Aid Level 3* – Course available here
- Advanced Weapon Handling*
- Orientate, navigate, use and create maps in conservation areas*
Requirements
- This course requires Communication and Mathematical Literacy.
- NQF level 2
